amazing.
Facebook. We have a love hate relationship right now...it's one of those things that I love because I can secretly stalk everyone, but hate because it becomes such an addiction so fast. Things are getting a little out of hand busy around here, and a new addiction is definitely not necessary. Daydreaming and researching trips are quite enough at the moment. And speaking of researching trips...plans are on the horizon!! I'll be volunteering in Baltimore over Spring Break, followed by a some "I do's" in Minnesota in April. Then May looks like a possible 3 week rendezvous in Latin America. Still deciding on the country for that one. Then...umm...The Amazing Race? Who would have ever expected me, the ultimate despiser of all things reality show to consider being on one. One little problem is that I actually need citizenship before I do it (yeah....I'm an ALIEN!!) but I'm working on that. hahaha....this is just silly....My partner in crime, no other than Anna. We will totally rock this one!!!
So that's about it, aside from all the other info I haven't mentioned. Like the speaker I saw today, Simon Deng, a former child slave from Sudan who spoke of the conflict in Darfur. Or our very successful Lord of War screening last week (I know way more about arms trade than I ever thought necessary...for example, did you know that in Uganda you can buy an AK-47 for the price of a chicken?) Or that tomorrow is the opening address for a 3 day Human Trafficking Symposium which I am really looking forward to attending. And as if all that wasn't enough, there's the AIESEC Mardi Gras party on Saturday! So many things...such great times!!!
parting words...
the more you see, the less you know, the less you find out as you go
don't look before you laugh, look ugly in a photograph (U2)
